I shudder at the gripping darkness this movie has! It is probably the best recreated action packed stories of a superhero. What male you know did not ever think about being Batman or better yet The Mogul Bruce Wayne??? I for one is anticipating what is said to break box office records. Make sure you go see this in a theater near you and tell me about what you thought. Hey if your in Philly.. Lets do the movies together and experience The Dark Knight Rises!!

Week 1:

Let’s jump right into it. I am not much for writing and blogging but, I’m always asked to. So this is my sorry attempt to be an internet Fashion journalist. I figure… Hey, I am a stylist to the stars right?? Sooo, I’m sure I can find something to write about and give some tips while I’m at it. To transition into this new endeavor, I must first introduce this new segment to my site. The Name of this Blog concept is called CG’s Perspectives. Of course, CG is my initials and basically, what I will be doing is giving my take on some of the hottest trends in fashion in addition to a few quick tips and fashion related advice. I tweet pretty often so when people retweet my post and or inbox me about they’re faves, I will make sure I repost them and talk a little more in detail about the story.

Fist up in the blogging pulpit is the 10,000 dollar All-White watch by HUBLOT called the ‘BIG BANG’, designed in celebration to commemorate the NBA Championship win by Miami Heat. You heard the name from JAY-Z so now, I guess because he said it, has to be hot right?? Well I will just say that it’s a great marketing piece for the Watch brand. Its an all white Time piece and D-Wade felt it was necessary for his fellow team mates to own one as a gift. GO TEAM WADE.

Britney, Britney, Britney.. Where for thou is Britney???? Here she is in a skin tight Hervé Léger by Max Azria bandage Dress. And guess what??? Its not that bad considering her many Fashion Fails. Im deff routing for The Brit!!!

Now I don’t agree with everything or every look a designer throws out there and its OK as, everyone has their own fashionable opinion. I say that to say, this unkempt look by Bottega Veneta- Men’s Spring Summer 2013 show is not my cup of tea. However, there are those who loves this carefree style of dress. I will say however, fusing certain pieces can deff make this work, You don’t have to wear everything, just the things you like.

Spring 2011 Fashion Trend

From Designers to Boutique owners, FAshionistas, and Fashionistos, The spring Fashion trend report for 2011 is finally out. Remember last winter’s saying, “Grey is the New Black?” Well think…“Long is the new Short”! As an Image consultant and wardrobe Stylist I’ve come to realize, Knowing what works best for your body type has always been key in developing your own personal style however, knowing the Current trend shows how knowledgeable you are with regards to fashion. So, I wanted to take this time and get you up to speed with some of the most talked about trends for spring 2011, and what to look for in the upcoming shows for fashion week Here in New York from February 10th through the 17th.

Though this collection may have nothing to do with Eco-Chic, there will be plenty of Green to be $een when customers flock to the cash registers @ Target this Sunday to snap up Zac Posen's version of the retailer's "GO International" designer collaboration series.

The Zac Posen for Target collection celebrates new interpretation & fresh takes on some of the iconic pieces that have sculpted the Zac Posen brand. With a focus on dresses & strong prints, the collection includes Target’s first designer full-length gown, a tuxedo suit, a red suede jacket & bold metallic swimwear. Posen fans on a budget will now be ready for a night on the town in sleek silhouettes modernized by neon lipstick graffiti & flirty floral prints. Exposed zippers & large bows provide added excitement to the assortment, while chiffon ruffles & pleats bring it back to the eighties. Swimwear gets a retro touch with bandeau halter tops, while a paisley-printed silk scarf allows any woman to add a signature Zac Posen statement to her favorite ensemble. Rock tees, knitwear & summer dresses round out the collection.

Following up on the stellar Liberty of London Collection, Target once again ups the fashion frenzy when it opens sales on the Zac Posen for "GO International" on Sunday, April 25th nationwide. Prices range from $16.99-$199.00. The collection will be available through May 30, 2010. But don't wait... if this go around is anything like the past Target / Designer collaborations (Proenza Schouler, Jean Paul Gaultier, Anna Sui, etc.), you'll have to be there Sunday AM to have a fighting chance.

The Modern Ming Aesthetic

For Fall 2010, Chinese Luxury brand Blanc de Chine took its runway bow once again in the 2nd floor of their Fifth Avenue flagship. Naming the refined elegance of the Ming Dynasty & the related aesthetics of serenity, subtlety, simplicity & lack of pretention as the inspiration, the collection of men’s & women’s silhouettes looked thoroughly modern, yet were strongly rooted in the Asian tradition – in a word, “timeless”.
Though the pace of the show was oddly sloth-like & bordered on tedious, the fashions were not.

Instead, the season’s requisite dose of asymmetry was deftly applied to a collection that looked at home in the West despite being inspired by & produced in the traditions of the East. Standout looks for women were the padded & cropped pieces that had trapunto detailing & some of the tunic styles that were ingeniously finished with various Asian style closures. The cameras went abuzz when the Multi Color Sequin Qi Pao made its slow decent down the runway. The effect was akin to Monet in sequins & truly was a winner.
The men’s offerings were strongly rooted just this side of formal. Many of the jackets had just enough detailing to keep them interesting & all of them would stand out in a crowd, but never too loudly.

The color palette was easily accessible & was obviously designed to sit well with the company’s broad range of black offerings season after season. This collection is markedly different from any other collection currently in the market. It struck the perfect balance between the conventional fashions of the West & the offerings of the East, but never crossed the line into costume.-Scott French

August 15, 2007—Valextra has become the luggage of choice for the twenty-first-century jet-setter. Now the Italian luxury brand has come up with a duo of nautically inclined bags for those moments when the twenty-first-century jet-setter swaps his Gulfstream for the Gulf Stream. Developed in conjunction with Argentinean yacht designer German Frers, the two-piece offering is made from leather-trimmed canvas, and available in either cream or navy. Befitting the marine theme, it's also completely waterproof (in case the onboard Jacuzzi overflows, perhaps). A sleek, 2.3-inch-deep garment bag can be folded and carried like a suitcase and features a lengthy side zipper for easy access. Even smarter is the soft trunk (available in two sizes), which contains, Voltron-style, up to nine freestanding compartments for shoes, grooming products, and clothes. (The outer bag can be unzipped and packed away.) Fittingly, Valextra CEO Massimo Suppancig and designer Frers developed the idea for the bags while sailing near Portofino, Italy. “The pieces must be useful, and they must be beautiful” was the pair’s objective, according to Suppancig. “In the end," he adds, "we were successful.” Tough to disagree, though isn’t there a saying about a man waxing his own yacht?

The Tux you must have.

0k fellaz, an essential and must have piece for every man is a tuxedo. Now you’re probably asking yourself, “What do I need a tux for???”

Well, their will be one measly time in your life where you will have to look distinguished. You will attend either a wedding, a black and white ball, a new years soirée and possibly, a night on the town with your significant other where she for a chance, get to wear that gown she’s been dying to wear.

Most Tuxedos are standard in style so, you don’t have to worry about your fashion ooops’ if you keep it simple. Yes, a tuxedo will set you back a few hundred smackeroo’s however, you will have it forever, and you don’t ever have to worry about who had it on B4 you. Now, I’m not telling you to spend your life savings on a tuxedo buy DIOR, but invest in yourself. You are worth it. “Aren’t you???” Well, I could be wrong!!!

Ok People!

Gray can be a ferocious color if paired just rite. I know, I know, you are comfortable with the black assemble that you ware to funerals, on dates, to the game, and to visit mom, because you haven’t returned her calls for a week.
